The Abnormal
Just an ADHD woman writing stories for the ADHD brain!
I know what it's like to get bored and lose interest in something. I know the struggles of trying and failing to read a single sentence (then reading it 20 times)
The Abnormal was designed to be cinematic. Fall into the pages. Feel the character emotions. Question authority. Relate to the anxiety, the pressure, the fear of the unknown; be sucked into a world where you think "this could be real".
Too many times have I tried and failed to sit down and read a book that popular trends have suggested. As an author, I've read a total of 2 full books and I had to read them for school. They weren't long.
The pages were congested with words.
They were probably at the level of a 12 year old. But it was all I could concentrate on...
Now, I've written and published a 550 page novel and read through the entire thing more than 10 times. With plot twists around every corner, action, adventure, emotion, and attention to detail, I finally have a book that even someone like me can sit down and read!
MY VISION
Synopsis
A subspecies of humans known as Abnormals exist under the harsh laws and restrictions of the “Normie” population—but they begin to take a stand when the key to their evolutionary uprising is discovered. Marisol Lopez, a young, registered Abnormal, finds herself serving as First Lieutenant of an underground organization of elite individuals known as the Rebels. What begins as a fight for freedom and the rights for their people soon spirals into something far more sinister.
During this gripping series she challenges her idea of reality as camaraderie turns to bloodshed when the body of a fellow soldier is discovered mutilated beyond recognition; trust within the ranks starts to fracture. Alliances shift and loyalties are tested when Marisol is forced to question the autocracy of her father's reign as General.
Fighting for survival she finds love on the battlefield with an unlikely character whom gains her trust, only to discover the painful truth for their connection. Death. Destruction. Desire. And unimaginable strength no person was ever meant to possess.
In her gripping fact-meets-fiction adult series, The Abnormal, author Jane D. draws readers into a word where sci-fi tangles with fantasy and the line between human and monster is dangerously thin.
